I am thrilled to be growing my small business by acquiring another food tour company with strong ties to our local food community.  Madison Eats Food Tours will continue to build and strengthen partnerships and offer fun, educational and delicious foodie adventures throughout Madison!

I’ve lived in Madison for 20 years, and started my business in 2012 . We currently employ five people in addition to several independent contractors.

I feel inspired by and connected to the community we have here. There is a lot of diversity in Madison’s food community. Our tours offer a way to learn from each other and break down barriers between people. They bring everyone together around a common goal: To eat! What we offer is something really special.

I started my business on a part-time basis when my children were young, but took the leap about four years ago to make it my full-time job. It’s been growing every year.  In 2018 we sold more than 2,000 food tour tickets and pumped about $41,000 back into the Madison community in food costs to local restaurants, food artisans and markets.

I’m just excited for the opportunity to continue to grow. Capital City eventually will fully merge into Madison Eats.

Currently Madison Eats Food Tours is offering two Capital City Food Tours experiences — the Around The Square tour on weekends and the Stroll Down State Street experience by private booking. Stroll Down State Street was created in partnership with Destination Madison.

In addition to those tours, Madison Eats Food Tours runs public tours in the Atwood, Willy Street neighborhoods and around the Capitol Square. We launched the Taste of the Farmers’ Market Tour Wednesdays starting June 19th in partnership with the Dane County Farmers’ Market, and are hosting several special events including the Artisan Food and Craft Beverage Tour July 19th. Madison Eats offers destination culinary vacations to Mexico and Cuba as well.
