Hong Kong Style French Toast

Hong Kong Style French toast is like normal French Toast dressed up in its Sunday best. Brought by the British to Hong Kong, Hong Kong Style French toast combines two layers of thick white bread, stuffed with creamy peanut butter (Or add your favorite fillings–I combined peanut butter and Nutella). The sandwich is then dredged in egg and pan fried. If that isn’t rich enough for you, Hong Kong Style French Toast is topped with a generous pat of butter and golden syrup (feel free to substitute maple syrup or honey!). This delicious treat is typically eaten for a midday snack. But we recommend it anytime.
