Candied Nuts
You’re gonna love these nuts! A perfect snack for the holiday table, they are great to eat plain, or to top a salad.
My version uses four simple ingredients, does not contain egg whites, and takes about 5 minutes to make. Go nuts!
Candied Nuts
1 cups pecans or walnuts
1 tbsp butter
1.5 tbsp maple syrup (My favorite is Patterson Sugar Bush) or honey
1 tbsp soy sauce
Heat butter in cast iron or heavy skillet on low heat until melted.
Add nuts, and stir frequently for about 1-2 minute until the nuts begin to smell roast-y.
Add maple syrup and stir constantly for about 30 seconds until syrup begins to thicken.
Add soy sauce and stir for about 30-45 seconds until sauce is evaporated.
Remove immediately from heat and pour onto a plate to cool.
Eat warm or cold!
