RED
316 W Washington Ave
We’ve loved RED for their exceptional rolls, signature dishes and service, and now you can enjoy RED for private events and parties. Their newly opened private event space adjacent to their swanky restaurant is able to accommodate groups of various sizes. Beautifully decorated with a bar, and variable seating areas, it’s the perfect space for small and large groups. Aside from delicious rolls such as their popular Godzilla roll, they also offer appetizers and main dishes such as crispy Brussels sprouts and New York strip steak. Their talented bar team will pour your drinks of choice – I recommend the lychee martini or a carafe of sake.
Madison’s
119 King Street
This building in Madison’s First Settlement District dates back from the 1880’s but its private dining space in the lower level is up-to-date with blue tooth speakers, a stage with a microphone and ADA accessibility. Guest capacity can range from 40 in a seated setting to 60 in a cocktail style arrangement.
Both appetizers and entrees are served buffet style in the room that was once a liquor store for the original owner. Madison’s also offers a semi-private dining area on the main floor that was once a saloon for Schlitz Brewing and still has the beautiful brick walls and a tin ceiling.
The Harvey House
644 W Washington Ave
The Harvey House is a location sure to impress any guests. Recently featured on Top Chef, The Harvey House is well known in the Madison area for its upscale aesthetic and attention to detail. This is not surprising with owner and chef, Joe Papach, who previously worked in several Michelin star restaurants. The Harvey House has several options for semi to completely private dining spaces for groups. One of these is a train car that has been converted into a dining space for up to 35 guests with its own vintage bar.
Great Dane
123 E. Doty St
Located in a building from the 1850’s, The Great Dane downtown is one of Madison’s most popular brewpubs, which is also why it makes for a great spot to host a group! This lively establishment has several spaces available including a lower level that was originally horse stables when the building was once a hotel. Now this cozy area has its own bar ready to serve up the beer brewed in house and seating for over 75 guests. The outdoor patio garden is a hidden gem, with ivy covered walls and patio umbrellas for shade. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy classic pub fare such as burgers and tacos, and even some dishes that are infused with their beer.
It’s Party Time!
Whether you just need a space to gather with friends, to host a work retreat or to celebrate your team, there are many options available around Madison! The spots listed above have great event spaces, staffing to assist with your request and delicious food. Prefer a food tour? We offer those as well and can host private groups of 6 and up! Just let us know!
