Roman Candle
Multiple Locations in Madison and Middleton

There’s a specialty pizza for everyone at Roman Candle, whether you prefer the classics (have you tried their Supreme?) or new flavor combos (the Algo Malo is divine–arugula, caramelized onion, walnuts, beets, and blue cheese over alfredo sauce). If you’re a fan of pesto pizza, definitely try the Pastoral, which features their delicious and chewy crust, a base of pesto, topped with artichoke hearts, red peppers, olives, and cherry tomatoes. It’s no wonder this pizza is a customer favorite! Now just add some Candle Stix (breadsticks brushed with clarified garlic butter made in house) with ranch or marinara to complete your perfect order.

Kimchi fries

SoHo began as a food cart before opening their small, casual restaurant in Fitchburg. They offer a blend of Asian street foods and Midwest flavors that’s just oh, so delicious. Don’t skip the appetizers! We love the irresistible Taiwanese popcorn chicken and super-flavorful kimchi nacho fries, waffle fries topped with Korean-style beef, jalapeños, and of course, kimchi and nacho cheese. Their lunch deal can’t be beat: an entree and three dumplings for less than $10! Try the Hong Kong BBQ pork dish, pork with a savory, tangy BBQ sauce, served with rice – or keep an eye on their social media pages to check out their specials!

Pro Tip: Check out their weekly Wednesday burger special for a mouth-watering mid-week treat.

Quarantine Updates: SoHo is currently matching all donations of their food to healthcare workers, effectively doubling all customer donations! They are also open for curbside pick up, and you can order off their regular menu. Specials are posted on Instagram and Facebook.

Migrants
2602 West Beltline Hwy, Suite 106
Madison, WI 53713
Phone: 608.630.8194

For an unexpected and tasty take on this familiar Tuesday staple, check out Migrants!  Choose your protein – duck & lamb are some unexpected options. The duck taco filling is made by oven roasting a duck and shredding the cooked, dark meat into an arbol chili sauce, giving it a deep, red, warm flavor. Then choose your toppings & sauce (there are 10 salsas to choose from), and they’ll wrap it in a house-made tortilla. Perfect take out meal on Taco Tuesday, or any other night! Look out for the many vegan & vegetarian options.

Pro Tip: Don’t miss the Reaper Tequila Cheese Sauce! This creamy white cheese sauce is laced with tequila, which gives it an alcohol kick and makes it a crave worthy choice as a taco topping or just for dipping your tortilla chips.

Quarantine Update: Migrants is now doing their own delivery service, available through their website where you will find the most updated information. Check out their family style meals for 4 which includes a starter or dessert and an entree. Order your Migrants meal here!

Thai Basil
6714 Raymond Rd.
Madison, WI 53719

The fresh Southeast Asian flavors may surprise you coming out of this modest restaurant located in a strip mall. Be prepared to enjoy a full, but simple, menu with light sauces big on flavor and made to order. The Laab with pork is a favorite dish on the menu. This room temperature meat salad combines  lime, shallots, garlic and fresh green chillies. It’s served with large chunks of crunchy, white cabbage on the side to cool the heat!

Pizza is pretty much guaranteed to be on everyone’s regular take-out list; heck, we’ve got 2 options on this list alone! At Salvatore’s, what’s not to love? With market fresh ingredients and creative toppings, the “Pies” at Sal’s are truly something special. Our personal go-to Pies are the Fig and Bacon (cue the drool) and the Vegetarian with their awesome beet pesto, creamy goat cheese and perfectly crunchy kale.  For the mushroom lovers out there the Woodsman is hard to beat with 3(!) different types of mushrooms covered in Pleasant Ridge Reserve cheese.

Have you been craving creamy crab rangoons or mouth watering curries? Then get on the phone NOW and call Lao Laan Xang on Atwood! I literally can’t stop ordering their Pineapple Curry, which is an awesome combination of spicy curry sauce and sweet from the tangy pineapple. No matter what you order, however, don’t forget to add an order of fresh spring rolls (we love the tofu). One of my favorite things about Lao Laan Xang is that there is usually* leftovers.

Bandung
600 Williamson St.
Madison, WI 53703
Phone: 608.255.6910

The perfect balance of sweet and savory and fresh ingredients is what draws us to Bandung over and over again. Try the pad thai for a more “approachable dish”. Deliciously seasoned pan fried noodles with your choice of protein, topped with bean sprouts, peanuts and green onion. Any dish with their house-made tempeh is highly recommended – the oseng oseng tempeh which combines tempeh and green beans with jalapeno and lemongrass in a coconut-sweet soy sauce. Delicious!

Rendang Beef from Bandung and fried tempeh

Pro tip: Order their lunch special for a great and affordable meal – it includes an entree and a starter for under $10!

Quarantine Updates: They are offering their own delivery and carryout every day except Sunday. You can use the code EATLOCAL for 25% off your order. Owner Julie says, “Let us Help you Help Us!”; it’s their way of supporting customers in this difficult time.

Bar Corallini
2004 Atwood Ave. 53704
Madison, WI
Phone: 608.709.1316

Fresh homemade pasta, antipasti boards and fresh salads. These are some of my favorite things at Bar Corallini, the gorgeous neighborhood restaurant on Atwood Ave/Winnebago.
The rigatoni with bolognese sauce and the kale salad are two of my very favorite things. The wood fired eggplant pizza, loaded with Grilled eggplant, zucchini, olive oil, mozzarella, cherry tomatoes (it can also be made vegan) is absolutely divine!

Take out specials from Bar Corallini.

Pro Tip: Need something for a date night or just to treat yourself? Try the DINNER FOR TWO
